Lets Eat Letter C for Lunch!

One of our ideas in the Alphabet Summer Kit is to serve our kids foods that start with one of the letters for that week.  This week we were on the letter C.

I served the kids the following:

• Chicken Nuggets
• Cheetos
• Carrots
• Cheese
• Capri Sun
• and a Cookie for dessert

It was a great opportunity to talk about the soft and hard sounds the letter C makes.  We also talked about the sound the letters C & H makes together.   After lunch or while they eat dessert I would read them the book If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Joffe Numeroffe.
