Quick and Educational Books to read with your kids

16 Mar 2018

I’m always on the lookout for educational fun books to read with my kids and I am absolutely in love with these book series! These are the ‘Who was’, ‘What was’ and ‘Where was’ series. They are educational and fun to read!

There are three different topics in the series. There is the ‘Who was’ which are basic biographies of important people. There is also the ‘Where Is…’ and ‘What Is…’, which are about famous places and important historical events. They are a fast read so it’s easy to fit 1-2 a week, maybe more if your kids let you put it down after you start reading! They are also fairly cheap to buy and most libraries have these in stock.

My kids are learned so much form these (as well as myself) and I love that they are learning about people who have helped shape our world as well as important events and places. I also keep a stack of these books around so my kids can pick them up and read them whenever they want! I will warn you that they highly addictive and it’s hard to just pick one to read!! Happy reading!!

Here are some of my kids favorites:

  • Harry Houdini
  • Walt Disney
  • Milton Bradley
  • Robert Ripley
  • Bruce Lee

  • Statue of Liberty
  • Pompeii
  • Boston Tea Party
  • Hindenburg
  • the Great Depression

  • The Great Barrier Reef
  • Alcatraz
  • Mount Everest
  • Stonehedge
  • Mount Rushmore
